The eared pond snail occurs in a wide area. The animal is found not only in most of Europe but also in the north and east of Asia. In addition, it has also been transferred to North America. These snails live in slow-flowing rivers, canals and large ponds in still water with a lot of bank vegetation in low-lying areas.
