This agate snail species is found in Tanzania and Mozambique. She looks a bit like achatina fulica but is more robust. More than 100 eggs are laid at a time. The young are only a few millimeters large when they hatch, but they grow quickly at first. After that first growth period, they seem to stop growing. A few months after this growth stop, they quickly get bigger again.
